Fair Oaks Sharks ROCK!

This is a dynamic, hard working, hard playing group of kids, coaches and parents! It has been shown that by far the best way for a child to become a proficient swimmer is to be part of a swim team in their youth. The 8 weeks your child will spend on this team every year is an unforgettable time of friendship and teamwork for kids and parents. Boy, can Fair Oaks moms cheer for their kids and yours! We are a rowdy bunch beside that pool every year.

Our team is a Division One team, a spot we fought hard to achieve over a 3 year period. I would encourage all returning and new families to sign up for swim team.

Prerequisites:

Team is open to swimmers age 5 through high school.
5-7 year olds must be able to swim across the deep end of the pool by June 1st
8 years and up must be able to swim a full lap comfortably by June 1st
Some swimmers may need to schedule private lessons to meet these requirements

Our goals for the kids are to produce 1) teamwork, 2) pride in their own accomplishments and 3) competent safe swimmers! Last but not least we expect everyone, kids and parents, to have a ball!

Fair Oaks Swim Team Policy 2011

* Only Members of the Club are able to participate on the swim team.

* Grandparents can sponsor a grandchild that lives outside of 50 miles of the Club. This privilege is for those grandchildren that come to stay with the Grandparents during the summer.

* The deadline to sign up will be May 9th. Sign up at the kids fair on April 30th or visit Nancy Reaney at the club offices.

* The fee for 2011 will be $130 for ages 7 – 15 and $115 for ages 5 - 6
